I'm thankful for a lot of things. I'm thankful that my grandma doesn't have to live alone now/ she's healthy enough to beat the crap out of me when I talk out of line and I have a warm place to sleep. Also, I'm thankful that this year I met people who made me aware of a lot of shit I didn't know about animal abuse.
An experience I can remember and I have grown from was when I was in Cincinnati a couple of years ago at a burger king (YEAH EWL) right before Christmas. My friend and I were sitting outside eating sandwiches when we noticed an older homeless man fiddling with the trash a few feet off looking for fries or something. We pulled him over, even though he kinda acted a little off mentally (That situation would fuck anybody up) and gave him out food.
It felt better giving it to him in person than giving canned food to some worker. (I STILL DO THAT)
